Who is Miles Blackwell

Miles Blackwell, brilliant inner city kid, hides a magic gift from the world. Miles does things with his own two hands. When we meet him it’s graduation day and he’s on top of the world, with a full scholarship to Harvard, a pretty girlfriend and the love of his community all in his favor. But all bets are off when a jealous aunt entraps him in a staged crime in which he pulls a gun on a cop. Suddenly Miles must flee his native Pittsburgh to face his destiny – a  destiny which leads him to New Orleans and an encounter with the Golden Harp of Anansi and the evil cult which holds it captive.

The mythology behind the Golden Harp of Anansi

10,000 years ago, when black men walked the Earth as kings, and the ancient gods ruled from their lair atop the Mountain of Greatness, Anansi the Spider, created a golden harp whose music would heal mankind of their ills. The harp was meant as a reward for what had been a thousand years of peace on Earth. But it was corrupted by a greedy priesthood. Over the millennia the priesthood morphed into a greedy cult.
